Customs services.
Colour change wraps, paint protection film, tradie wraps for fleets, and detailing — done with premium film, panel-off disassembly where needed, and finishes that pass a panel-gap test. All customs work is quoted on consultation.
Premium film, properly fitted.
We install wraps and PPF from manufacturers who actually warranty their product: 3M, Avery Dennison and ZR Films. We don't cut corners on film grade because the markup looks better — bad film looks bad in six months. Good film looks factory in ten years.
Frequently asked
Customs FAQs.
Will a wrap or PPF damage my paint?
No — when installed and removed properly, both wraps and PPF protect the paint underneath rather than damage it. The film bonds to the clearcoat, not the colour. We've removed wraps from cars three, five, and ten years old and revealed factory-fresh paint every time. What damages paint is cheap film, bad installers leaving adhesive residue, or aggressive removal with the wrong tools.
PPF vs ceramic coating — what's the difference?
PPF (paint protection film) is a physical clear urethane layer — it stops stone chips, key scratches, and impact damage. Ceramic coating is a chemical layer — it makes water bead, makes washing easier, and adds gloss, but it won't stop a rock chip. They do different jobs. The best protection for a prestige car is PPF on impact zones (front bumper, bonnet, headlights, mirrors) plus ceramic over the rest of the car. We'll recommend what suits how you actually drive.
How long does a wrap last?
Quality cast vinyl from 3M, Avery Dennison and ZR Films is rated for 7–10 years on horizontal panels, 10+ on vertical surfaces. In practice, expect 5–7 years of factory-grade appearance with proper care. Bonnets and front bumpers get more UV and stone hits, so those panels show wear first.
How long does PPF last?
Premium self-healing PPF from 3M, Avery Dennison and ZR Films is rated for up to 10 years. The film stays optically clear, self-heals light swirl marks with heat (the sun on the bonnet is usually enough), and comes with a manufacturer warranty against yellowing, lifting, peeling, and delamination.
Will my insurance still cover the car after a wrap?
Yes, but you must declare the wrap to your insurer. Most insurers don't increase premiums for a cosmetic wrap (it's not a performance modification), but if you fail to declare it and later write the car off, they can reduce or refuse your payout. We provide photo documentation of every wrap as part of the job, which makes the insurance declaration straightforward.
Do I need to update my registration if I change colour?
Yes — VicRoads requires you to update the registered colour on your vehicle for any full colour-change wrap. It's a free online change through the VicRoads portal, takes about five minutes. Partial wraps and PPF don't change registered colour and don't need an update.
How do I wash a wrapped or PPF'd car?
Hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo. Avoid automatic brush car washes — the brushes will scuff the film. Avoid pressure washing right at panel edges. You don't need to wax or seal a wrap, but a quick-detailer spray every couple of months keeps the finish fresh. We send you a written care guide with every job.
Can you wrap just part of the car?
Yes — bonnet wraps, roof wraps, mirror caps, accent stripes, partial colour-change are all common. Partial wraps start from around $1,500 depending on coverage. It's a great way to test a colour or finish before committing to a full vehicle wrap.
Can PPF be patched if it gets damaged?
Yes — individual panels can be re-wrapped without redoing the whole car. PPF is installed in panel-cut templates, so we can lift a damaged section and replace just that panel. Modular damage repair is one of the practical advantages over paint.
What about custom designs, prints, or graphics?
We work with print-on-demand wrap film for custom colours, patterns and printed graphics. Bring us a reference and we'll spec the film grade and finish. Pricing varies by complexity and print method — quote on consultation.
How long does a wrap or PPF install take?
Front-end PPF: 1–2 days. Full vehicle PPF: 3–4 days. Partial wrap: 1–3 days. Full vehicle wrap with proper panel disassembly: 5–7 working days. We don't rush installs — the difference between a 3-day full wrap and a 6-day full wrap is the difference between film that lifts at door jambs and film that stays factory-tight for a decade.
